Staff management at a petrol pump is different
A pump runs day and night shifts, fillers swap shifts, advances are given in cash, and the short amount from a DU sheet often has to be adjusted from salary. A normal attendance app does not know any of this. Petronix does, because attendance, DU sheets and payroll live in the same system.
Attendance
- Punch in and out – staff mark attendance from the app; total hours are calculated for each day.
- Automatic attendance – roles such as the owner/admin and the watchman are marked present every day automatically, so nobody has to punch for them.
- Watchman role – night watchmen are added as staff and paid through the same payroll.
- Attendance register – monthly view of present, absent and half days per person.
Shifts
Create day and night shifts and assign attendants and nozzles to them. Bulk-change assignments when staff swap, and see shift history for any date. The filler only sees the nozzles assigned to them when they open a DU sheet.
Salary and payroll
- Monthly salary for every role: filler, manager, staff and watchman
- Advances given during the month, deducted automatically
- Other deductions and additions with a note
- Each payroll entry shows the date and time it was added
- Filler short and excess from approved DU sheets, visible in the filler ledger for settlement
Staff records
Store each filler’s phone number and, optionally, their Aadhaar number and card photo. Documents are kept on private storage and opened only through a short-lived secure link, never a public URL.
Frequently asked questions
Do fillers need a smartphone?
Yes, an Android phone or iPhone with the Petronix app. Many pumps keep one shared phone per DU if staff do not have their own.
Can salary be paid for half days?
Attendance supports half days, and salary can be adjusted with additions or deductions before you pay.
Can I deduct a filler’s short amount from salary?
The filler ledger shows the short and excess from each approved DU sheet. You can record the amount recovered or paid, and adjust salary accordingly.
